CARNAL HAPPENINGS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

This [superficial] wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly (secular), natural (unspiritual), even demonic. (James 3:15 AMP).

If an APP can tell you the number of people you have slept with in the past and as a Christian, you have no problem with that even as a new creation and you can bodly share that with other people, then there is a problem. Then you are carnal. Then you are sensual. Then you are devilish.

You see, the world is only finding creative means to expose how carnal some Christians are and sadly, many have fallen to their traps. What is inspiring about the number of people you may have slept with in the past? How is this a joke? Have you thought about the implications and the impact of your action on other young believers? This wisdom is certainly not of God but of the world. You don't have such liberty to joke with such things as a new creation in Christ. You must remember your past no more not even the shadow of it. (2 Cor 5:17).

Your salvation isn't a joke and can never be a joke. We have become too carnal and it's showing in everything we do. We have become one with the world. God help us!!!

Let me conclude with the following scripture.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (Ephesians 4:29 ►NIV)

THE BENEFIT OF GOING TO CHURCH

People stay away from church for many reasons: Sometimes they feel bad because their faith is not working as well as they think it should. Or they're depressed because it looks like everyone else is doing well except them.
Don't let discouragement keep you away from your spiritual family. You need their love and support. Their testimony should motivate your faith. The Bible says, 'Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is'( Hebrews 10:25 KJV).
The word 'forsaking' is taken from three Greek words which could be translated 'out', 'down', and 'behind'. It pretty much describes someone who feels left out, spiritually and emotionally down, and far behind everyone else.
The moment you feel that way Satan whispers, 'just stay home from church today; you don't need to go there with all those good people.' Get this:
If Satan can separate you from other believers at the very time you need them most, he can rob you of what God has in store for you. Sure, you can stay home, read your Bible, and turn on Christian radio and television.
But surrounded by your spiritual family you'll get great joy and receive encouragement you can't find anywhere else.
Church is the last place the devil wants you to go when you're feeling low. He knows if you go, you'll be touched or revived by the presence of the Lord and be able to crawl out of the the hole you're in. So, always go to church!

A FAITH PERSPECTIVE

Roman prisons were terrible places. Offenders were stripped, flogged, and placed in leg irons chains. Their clothes soaked in blood and kept in 'inner cell' (Acts 16:24 NIV). That's where Paul and Silas were imprisoned. Lack of water, cramped conditions, and the stench of toilet that makes sleep impossible. Prisoners routinely begged for death, and some even committed suicide. It was your worst nightmare! Yet 'Paul and Silas were...singing...and the other prisoners were listening' ( Acts 16:25 NIV).

Eugene Peterson paraphrases it like this: 'The other prisoners couldn't believe their ears'. Talk about real impact! Paul's attitude impressed lives before his religious beliefs ever reached them. Let's face it, anybody can sing in church, including hypocrites. But when you can praise God in the midst of pain, pressure, and problems, that's something else.

That's what I call 'Faith Perspective'. Hear this: It's not what you have lost, but what you have left that counts! Paul didn't just sing in prison, he wrote some of his best epistles there. Hear what he said: 'Everything happening to me in this jail only serves to make Christ more accurately known, regardless of whether I live or die.

They didn't shut me up; they gave me a pulpit! Alive, I'm Christ's messenger; dead, I'm his bounty. Life versus even more life! I can't lose' (Philippians 1:19-21 MSG). They are beyond any life threats. Their strength comes from a source that's not diminished by outside circumstances.
